ABOUT
1 For Community is an Non-Profit organization 501(c)(3) that supports communities within the Chicago-land suburbs. Our group is composed of middle school to high school students in the Northbrook and Glenview area; new members are always welcomed! Our main mission is to raise awareness and help address common problems- such as mental health, bullying, education, and more- among our generation! Through our work, we strive to build a healthy, happy youth community.
MISSION
1 For Community, being composed of a young generation, acknowledges and is aware of the troublesome problems and their harrowing effects amidst adolescents. As a result, whether it be through volunteering or other acts of service, 1 For Community strives to fulfill our mission of creating a unified and healthier generation of youth. Our group launches monthly events to help towns all over Cook County, Illinois to improve the mental and physical well-being of teenagers and/or younger. More so, we understand the power of knowledge. Meeting with and collaborating with other nonprofit organizations/boards, launching awareness campaigns, and more are some ways we spread recognition for our mission. Additionally, we wish to influence institutions- such as schools- to integrate/form measures to help spread consciousness of teen troubles. 1 For Community is reaching to form a unified group of people, dedicated to serving others and the world.
